I spend each day surrounded by people with different cultures than my own, and it's stunning that the human mind is so complex that it has the ability to decipher enough of these cultures to be able to spend more than a few minutes with someone at a time and enjoy it.

Reflected thought o' today: The past is a force not to be reckoned with. It can make tears stream down your face with one thought, create mayhem in your mind in a split second, and shut down your entire being faster than you can say 'stop.' The weird thing though, is that there's something hauntingly beautiful about it. It drags you into its arms and you don't protest, instead you burrow yourself deeper into its embrace with the intention of never leaving. At first, it's nice because the familiarity of it has you smiling nonstop, but then it hits you: it's over. You're never gonna get to live those times again, and it breaks you. You start to panic, you try to see if you still remember every single detail, and when you realize that you don't, for a few quiet moments, your mind dedicates itself to reminiscing. The scary thing is that some of us can't handle the realization that the past is over and "a few quiet moments" turns into hours, days, weeks, and so on. Yes, moving on doesn't mean forgetting, but don't live in your past. Time is a privilege, not a right. Don't waste your future by holding onto things that can't help but be gone.

This isn't all that can be said about the past, since every story has more than one side, aka both positive and negative effects, but that's just what entered my mind today. :>

It's been exams and projects and friendships and advice all over and I swear, my eyebags are way fancier than Gucci at this point. *flips hair*

Have you guys listened to this yet? No? Dude, I'm literally the newest newbie in the Youtube fandom (I know almost nothing except Phan [ <3 ] and I admit it) and I've replayed it so much that my mom pretty much memorizes the song because for the past few weeks I've been singing along to it. Go. Listen to it. The music video's out now actually! GO GO GO MY FRIEND (oh and buy TRXYE, the album too!)

- Six Degrees of Separation by The Script -

A friend introduced this song to me, and I haven't been able to get it out of my head since. It's a really legit song, talking about the reality of separation, may it be romantic or otherwise. If you're in the mood to get your heart broken, this is the song to listen to!

There are a few versions of this song, so listen to any 'cause they're all pretty awesome. Personally, I like this song because I relate it to the section I was in last year, and they make me happy, so this song makes me happy as well. THAT'S A SHOUTOUT TO GABRIEL WOO (more on that in a future post? I'll think about it...)

I overheard my classmate singing it and I have literally been singing it in everyone's face. Who wants to be next?

Some examples are Stella Maris, Sa'Yo Lamang, Unang Alay, and the like. Three days of singing practice really drills these lyrics into your head, man.

Today, I had a conversation with a wise man, and he told me many things, but there was one thing that stood out above the rest.

That noontime, I was off to AC for the CEAP Youth Congress.

(it was being held at San Agustin, but meet-up was at Assumption owo)

Including me, only two people from my batch attended, so here’s a shoutout to Kitkat for enduring my crazy for 15 hours!

In short, the CEAP was really inspirational. For some reason, I felt like I could be myself there.

~

(which is probably part of the reason why I was dancing like a maniac at 3-4 in the morning HEHEHE)
