reflected thought:
~
Nobody knows who "the happiest person alive" is.
~
A pessimist would take this statement and say, "then that means 'the happiest person alive' does not exist."
~
An optimist would say, "that means anyone could be 'the happiest person alive'".

Which one are you?

112614's reflected thought: Maybe we're all just a bunch of toys that have been played with too rowdily for too long and that's why we're all as broken as we are.

reflected thought of yesterday: It's the little things that keep us going, like a border of cake on your CAE script. :>

reflected thought of today: About a month ago, someone asked me this question: "If you were to go back in time and kill yourself, would you consider it murder? What if you went to the future and did the same thing?" This got me thinking how it is so true when people say that change is literally the only permanent thing in the world, because you cannot say that you were exactly the same person you were a second ago, because you have lived a full second more than that person, you know what I mean? And time makes an appearance here too because your whole life could change in an hour, a minute, even a second. Think about it this way: an hour before your high school graduation you were just another student. An hour after, you never know. You could be valedictorian, you could be awarded most athletic or some other award of that sort, and of course, you could be a graduate of 12-15 years of high school; in other words, you have done it! Those hours made all the difference, they made you a different person. That is how time and change work together to help you grow, to help us all become the people we are meant to be. So, yes, I think killing your past and/or future self would be murder, for the sole reason that you are not who you were a second, a minute, or five years ago nor are you the person you will be in a second, a minute, or in five years. You at present is simply who you are now, and as time passes, you grow and become a different - hopefully better - version of yourself. Second by second, the difference is not majorly noticeable, but day by day, month by month, year by year, this process begins to show changes in your physical appearance and even more so in your personality. Let this help make you the best person you can be in all ways possible.
