reflected thoughts on hope:

Hope can be either a positive or a negative thing. Sometimes when you've given up on everything, hope is what keeps you going. Hope is what will bring you from your death to your resurrection, and that's why it's positive, because it represents new beginnings and second chances and renewal. When you're at the verge of giving up, hope will be there. It may be just a sliver of hope, but there will be hope, there always is, because we are all entitled to hope. We all have hope, because life is a choice, and choice contradicts destiny, which means that if we choose it and choose to work for it, we may get the outcome we desire.

Yes, things usually seem to go right at first… but here's the catch. When your hopes are high, you are willingly allowing yourself to think that everything will be okay,which of course makes you expect that you will get your happily ever after, but have you ever heard the quote, "Life is a roller coaster?" Well, let's just say that sometimes when your hopes are high, the roller coaster's dip is deep and unexpected. High hopes can turn out to be just that: a hope. Keep in mind that hopes aren't concrete. Hopes are desires; what do you wish to happen in your life? That's what you hope for. You can't always get what you want though, and that's why hopes aren't concrete, because most of the time, they remain as they are, a positive presumption. It is rare and beautiful if what you hope for is given to you, and there's nothing wrong with wanting things to be okay. All I'm saying is that hope is dangerous too. Stay wary.

If I were you though, I'd take the risk. Even a sliver of hope can be enough to keep you going  in the most dire situations, and when you've finally conquered your problem, you'll be thankful.
